How to call a landline or mobile in Brazil from abroad
Need to reach someone in Brazil by phone number? With OiCall you call Brazilian landlines and mobiles from your phone or computer using credit. The person you call answers a regular phone call.
How to dial the number
In international format, a Brazilian number is +55 (Brazil’s country code), followed by the 2-digit area code (called DDD in Brazil) and the full number:
+55 DDD 9XXXX-XXXX
9 digits after the area code, starting with 9.
+55 DDD XXXX-XXXX
8 digits after the area code, starting with 2, 3, 4 or 5.
On the OiCall keypad, Brazil (+55) is already selected: just enter the area code and the number. On a computer, if you copied a number that already starts with +55, you can also paste it straight into the keypad. Don’t add a 0 or the carrier code that people use for long-distance calls inside Brazil. Check the digits before you call.
Who needs internet?
You need internet to call with OiCall (Wi-Fi or mobile data), and you need to allow the microphone in your browser or the app.
The person you call doesn’t need internet or an app. The call arrives as a regular phone call on their mobile or landline.
